To determine whether a KK module needs replacement, comprehensive judgment can be made from three dimensions: operating status, precision performance and component wear. Timely replacement is recommended if any of the following conditions occurs:
1. Abnormal Operating Status
Obvious jamming, abnormal noise and greatly increased vibration occur during module operation, which cannot be eliminated even by readjusting preload and replenishing grease. It indicates irreversible wear of core transmission components.
2. Persistent Excessive Precision Deviation
Repeat positioning accuracy and travel parallelism consistently exceed the error tolerance allowed by equipment processes. The nominal factory‑specified precision cannot be restored after multiple calibrations, failing to meet production and processing requirements.
3. Severe Wear of Core Components
Large‑area fatigue spalling and corrosion appear on ball screws and guide raceways; internal balls of the slide block are broken; structural components suffer irreversible deformation. Continued use will directly damage the matched motor or workpieces.
4. Unresolvable Potential Safety Hazards
The load‑bearing capacity of the module drops significantly. Loose slide carriage and positioning offset occur during operation, bringing safety risks such as machine collision and workpiece scrap, with no value for repair and recovery.
